Pros
Progressing through the agency from Account Manager to leading the Project Management team, I experienced all aspects of Propeller. The agency works with some of the most interesting brands and businesses out there and there is a constant buzz of activity. All levels of the team are given the opportunity to work with exciting clients helping to develop them as businesses both on and offline. I led a team of skilled project managers whose training and development was, as with the rest of the agency, a real focus for Propeller. The agency invests in its people and ensures that the whole team are challenged and continually learning. That learning comes not only from formal qualifications and well-recognised courses, but also from the talented people within the agency that have years of experience they share with more junior members of the team. It is a common occurrence that people stay at Propeller for many years. The agency is a family and you very quickly become a part of that. The directors try to ensure that everyone is able to achieve a good work-life balance with a ‘work hard play hard’ attitude - the regular office social events are a big part of that. Having left a year ago it’s clear to see the agency are doing very well - it tends to be ‘Site by Propeller’ you see at the foot of some of the best hospitality websites in the industry.
Cons
The workload was high at times but understandably, this is the nature of the industry. Exit interviews would help the agency build from employee experience, these didn’t take place but may do now.
