Pros
Good benefits and perks, wonderful students, and a few peers and colleagues who genuinely care and do their best to stay efficient, kind, and supportive despite the environment.
Cons
Poor leadership has created a consistently hostile and demoralizing work environment. Some managers are unqualified for people leadership and often engage in unprofessional behavior, including gossiping about other leaders and expressing fear or resentment toward upper management - an immediate and glaring red flag. There are no standard operating procedures or meaningful onboarding practices in place, and most staff are expected to 'figure it out' with little guidance. Feedback tends to be vague, inconsistent, and unhelpful. Many employees feel expendable, micromanaged, burnt out, and disrespected, describing the environment as a “meat grinder.” HR provides minimal support, even when multiple staff members raise legitimate concerns. The culture prioritizes image and hierarchy over well-being, accountability, and retention. Staff are expected to tolerate poor behavior rather than being offered practical solutions or protection. Overall, this is an unsustainable and unrewarding place to work.
