Pros

Very few pros to working here

Cons

This place is more like a school than a workplace. So many pathetic silly rules such as having to ask a manager if you can leave the shop floor to go to the toilet. Snitchy and back stabing managers. If they see you doing the slightest thing wrong they will snitch on you to a senior manager. Will be nice to your face but will be slagging you off to other managers/staff. Will moan at you for every minor thing. Wont tell off certain staff member who are standing around doing nothing. Are now watching the cctv more often to make sure people are working. Will bully certain staff members especially those who talk back or if they have a so called attitude. There are a high number of managers at this store who are useless at their job. Most managers hide away in the office so till staff are having to wear headsets to contact the managers which holds up the queue. There is no team spirit. Everybody sits on their own in the canteen during lunch breaks aside from a few people. Its like a library. The health and safey is shockingly bad. Boxs stacked too high, rails and rails of stock in the stock room blocking the walkway. An equipment room which has bars all over the floor so people slip on them and fall over. Air con that barely works. Staff moral at this store is as bad and low as it has ever been. There is no banter at all aside from a few people. People who have been here a long time are now looking to leave as they can no longer take it. Whatever you do DO NOT APPLY FOR A JOB AT PRIMARK.

Pros

You get lots of PTO up front as a part timer and can gain flex hours overtime. Get a 50 cent raise every six months.

Cons

Was told during onboarding that if a Christian comes into the store spreading the gospel, I have to kick them out. This includes the mention of the Jesus without the church invite. Managers claim its rude and if a customer does it, they get booted. Faced harassment from a customer and management didn't let me switch too a different department. Extremely high turnover rate and managers don't replace them, making your job more stressful during peak hours. Hard to use PTO. Little to no training. Too many bachelor and master holding part timers who get lucked out of moving up in the company. Managers give some people no task while pilling on multiple tasks on one person. Too many managers to deal with (and usually never find) and the full timers make you do the dirty work while they "unpack boxes". Its a pro-LGBT anti christian company. If they want to be pro-LGBT, than more power to them. But anti-Christian is discriminatory and unnecessary.
