Pros

They work well with your schedule, and are more than understanding when life happens and we are unable to make our shifts. There are some phenomenal women in the office that I personally adore! Jan, Sharon, and Amy being 3 that I love! They're some honest, hardworking, compassionate women who are there for you and care about their employees.

Cons

The biggest con in in-home caregiving is your never guaranteed work within reason. What I mean by that is if you need an 8 hour shift to have 40 hours a week, you aren't ever guaranteed that. Not unless you want multiple shifts daily. You're using your own vehicle and they won't pay for anything other than 1 DOCTORS APPOINTMENT ONLY per week. Do our clients not get to go out into the community or run errands??? Also, KEEP UP WITH YOUR HOURS/PAY! I've been here for years now, and they tend to run into errors quite frequently. Whether that's paying you more than you should, not paying you enough, or having to wait DAYS after payday to get paid for the week because payroll was late. It's a nuthouse at times. Let's not forget that I've had so many patients complain to me that the office will continue keeping an employee that is being neglectful to the clients well being/needs such as refusing to change a client, refusing to light house keeping, refusing to help the client or assist them with things they need which is absurd! If you're gonna mention or threaten caregivers with this registry we can go on if we do, why aren't we actually putting it to use?! I'm also VERY disappointed in bonuses. They're nice, don't get me wrong. But, tell me why no one received an actual bonus for our pays this year, but we all got $100 gift card? To be fairly blunt, I make $15 an hour and they are advertising for caregivers in indeed at $15-18 an hour and I've been with them for years as stated. If you just need part time work, I'd say go for it. Otherwise, benefits SUCK. There is no pto for vacation, there is no sick pay, there is none of that. Insurance? Good luck. You'll pay a pretty penny for utter garbage or get a membership like a gym to a group of physicians you've never seen before. While I've learned a lot and enjoyed my time here, mainly with my sweet clients, I'm ready for bigger and better things with better benefits and better pay.
