Pros

you will learn about some great industry technology

Cons

management has no idea what is going on. Company expects employees to be available whenever, with no respect to life outside of work. Hours are given with little notice at all, sometimes 48 hours before a shift starts. There was never an end time to shifts, just "whenever it gets done" so you'd have no idea if you'd be working for 4 hours or 14. You could easily have 30 hours scheduled from fri-sunday. They'd be very selective over who'd they give hours to. It was either all or nothing, you'd be getting 60 hours a week or like 2. shifts were edited on the fly, so you could be thinking your day was just about over, and then you'd get a call or a text saying you're expected somewhere else, adding hours and hours to your shift. It didn't matter if you had prior commitments, you belonged to them. Often, if you were working during busy season, you'd be expected to be back at work for a long shift like 6 hours after your previous shift ended. This would give employees like 4 hours of sleep. Some employees rather slept in their car instead of going back home just to turn back around and come to work again.

Pros

-Great people who worked there -One very good (young) manager -Decent AV experience but just from exposure to events and coworkers

Cons

-Everything else was bad or poorly managed -Schedules were created ad-hoc dependent on customers needs rather than over-worked employees' especially conflicting with planned big events where equipment was limited and wasnt being repaired frequently -Scheduling was based on one manager who also did gigs so there was favoritism, last minute changes/mistakes, and little regard for employee's PTO or time off reasons (refer to previous reviewer) - Gigs were understaffed and scheduled over 2-3x the normal amount of setups and strikes, with no extra morale boost or growth incentive, even with higher risk of overworked staff -Hostile work environment both physically and mentally -Stressful, stressful, stressful
