It's phenomenal to see that you enjoy your team, as teamwork and inclusion are two important pillars within our Powerback culture. Additionally, we appreciate your comments on our PTO policies as a clinician.
We're incredibly sorry to hear that you feel our health insurance policies are inadequate for your needs and that you've experienced a raise freeze. I'd highly encourage you to attend one of Carl's CEO open office hour meetings, held each Monday morning/afternoon, to discuss these concerns. These discussions allow everyone the chance to directly share their honest thoughts to contribute to our culture of transparency. Regarding 401k Matching– as of December 2023, we've updated our benefit policy to address 401k matching. After evaluating our benefits and compensation packages, we've found that now is the perfect time for us to adjust our policies regarding 401k matching to ensure we're providing the best support possible for Powerback staff. For more details on this update, please feel free to contact our dedicated HR solutions center via the HR page on the Rehab Central intranet.
Regarding Holiday Pay- As a healthcare provider, rehab care is available 365 days a year. In 2016, we expanded our clinician Personal Hours to provide more flexibility around observed holidays and personal needs. Today, full-time Therapists and Assistants accrue up to 64 paid personal hours per year, based on hours worked. This change allows our team members the flexibility to choose days of observance based on their individual beliefs/interests rather than requiring a set list of holidays that everyone must recognize to receive PTO. Beginning in 2023, full-time and part-time, non-exempt gym/center-based staff (this includes Powerback Rehabilitation To You staff) will be compensated for any hours worked on Thanksgiving Day.
We're committed to creating a work environment that allows every Powerback team member to thrive at all levels of care, and we hope that these shared resources and responses help clarify the rationale behind our policies.
