Supportive coworkers, experienced therapists, well-rounded staff. I have the flexibility to be very creative and client-centered in my sessions. I feel appreciated and listened to by my coworkers/management team.

High productivity. You need to be good with time management. I imagine this would be a difficult full-time position for somebody with a very busy family/home life, but part-time would be a great fit for a busy therapist with a family.

Positive Steps has an incredible amount of turn over. They tend to prey on new grads, pay them very little, and burn them out until they finally quit. I’ve witnessed coworkers spending their own money buying resources because the office had hardly any materials. Coworkers would stay an hour or more later each night finishing paperwork after a 10+ hour day. The company needs to train managers and have better hours and working conditions to keep quality therapists. Families have been fed up with the amount of turnover.
