Pros

There are a handful of kind, dedicated people who are trying their hardest to make Pluralsight an operationally sound organization. They are facing an uphill battle every day. In an attempt to retain talent, they have provided significantly more company wide time off, which is always welcomed.

Cons

From an operations perspective, Pluralsight is a bottomless swamp of chaos. All GTM systems/tools are mismanaged and unorganized. Data sources are messy, outdated, and practically unusable. Automation is so erratic that reporting on basic sales transactions and data is unreliable. The operations teams are also grossly understaffed relative to the size of the sales orgs they support. As a result, operations team members spend all their time putting out fires rather than improving the experience of the GTM orgs. Lastly, with the Vista acquisition, there are multiple cross-functional change implementation efforts happening congruently. These all require immense amounts of time and energy from the ops team. As a result, every operations project is barely functioning, the team is so strained for resources that the future of all of these projects are bleak.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. As a company that is consistently growing and evolving, we do have a very fast-paced and agile environment. I’m sorry to hear that you found some of our systems and tools to be unfit. We are currently working on a major initiative to improve systems and processes, as well as general feedback on workflow.. We are also increasing headcount across the business and hiring more team members is a large priority for the company. I appreciate the advice you’ve outlined and will certainly take this into consideration. I wish you the best in your next endeavor. - Will
