Pros

Motivated team, everyone towards a common goal of helping customers. Lots of cross functional learning opportunities. Shipping and logistics department is next door, thereby allowing everyone to learn something that's not tech related.

Cons

Long hours can become stressful at times. Sometimes delivery timelines are difficult to manage with everything else that's going on

Pros

-Moves fast. I joined this company after having worked for a company that took months to push any new features, so the one-week engineering sprints are a breath of fresh air. -Great team. The management works hard and acts quickly, and encourages employees to do the same. I feel like I'm working with very competent people that motivate me to perform well. -Employee development. My manager actually asked me to look up workshops one day, something I used to have to push for myself at my old company- a great sign that management here cares about employee happiness and retention.

Cons

-Long hours. Start up life, yo. -One week sprints. I also listed this as a pro, but sprints this fast are a bit stressful, as well. -Easy to see new projects sneaked into your list. It's important to speak up at this company and know your own limits so that you can manage your workload- it's a start up so it's easy to get a lot on your plate very quickly; however, you also have a say in determining priorities and strategy here. -Hard to negotiate pay. Couldn't negotiate up from the firm number management gave when I started. However, the company seems to be going places so that makes it a huge factor in decision making.
