In both departments that I worked there were problems with management. One department had just been reorganized but still had a lot of serious problems. They couldn't find a real director/manager because the system was so broken. The other department also had management problems. I thought my manager was inexperienced and we didn't get along. Also, they had been running low on staff so we didn't have a manager at certain points in time. This was hard to tell people on the phone that there wasn't a supervisor to take the call. When we brought this up to management they would say, "Don't tell the customer there isn't a manager but resolve the issue the best you can."
This was a terrible company to work for because they didn't have documentation on how to do your job. Training was terrible in both departments that I worked for. It seemed that they were just trying to cover their own butts but not really address serious long term problems.
I brought up complaints to HR and they didn't really care to do anything about the problems I told them about.
