Pros
PlanHub has great work-life balance, with remote work options and unlimited PTO. I have had great interactions with some of my managers, and I have a great team here. I would recommend this company to someone who is looking for an entry-level role with some upward mobility. If you are mid to senior level, you will be frustrated and want to leave quickly.
Cons
There is a lot to unpack here. First and foremost, the upper leadership has unrealistic expectations for what success looks like. Projections aren't based on industry data, but rather on wishful thinking and "we hit x number last year, so lets just increase it by 25%". Decisions are made based on how they can impact next month's totals, not the next year or even quarter. The sales and customer acquisition strategy is based on sheer volume of outreach versus strategy. Often, clients will completely block PlanHub phone numbers and emails to escape the volume. Product consistently has bugs and QA issues that just lead to creating workarounds. If you are in a customer-facing role, you are likely submitting multiple support tickets per day or using workarounds. There are truly some positives to working here and the are some really great people that work hard to make it better, but unfortunately politics come into play and the managers who really try have to operate with a handicap. If you are in sales, be prepared for aggressive goals and unpredictable commissions.
