Pros

From the CEO all the way down, ownership seems to be the most common theme at the company. They literally say Own Your Sh-t! But people seem to take it pretty seriously. Like any company there are pluses and minuses but at Placeable people seem to say and do things pretty straight and without playing games or being political. They keep it pretty challenging and recognize wins and success. Professional growth is a hot topic with the Bullet Program - each employee has a year-long project for improving their skills (like bullets on the resume). Overall my best job yet!

Cons

As a small company, we are short on people and high on deadlines. Sales seems to not be consistent in bringing in new deals, so the ebbs and flows are more like mad dashes and rest periods. They need more sales people.

Pros

I worked at Placeable for about 2 years, up until the Ignite acquisition when all of engineering was forced out. Placeable used to be a great place to work, with a whip smart engineering team, laid back office culture, and good location in the RINO neighborhood. The tech stack was great and I learned a lot working there. Unfortunately that all ended when we were acquired at the end of April.

Cons

My only complaint pre-acquisition was that engineering salaries were a bit under market, but this was understandable considering the intangible perks (unlimited PTO, very lenient work hours, etc). Ignite acquisition resulted in about half the company being laid off, and surely most Denver-based employees will be gone through attrition soon. The office is shut down (all employees 100% remote now) and the culture we all enjoyed is gone. I'm writing this more in memoriam than anything else.

Pros

Good marketing team. Solid vision but poor execution.

Executive management lacked consistency and trasparency.
