Good work/life balance, compact and closely-knit teams, acceptable compensation, paid vacation, good management structure, minimal bureaucracy, smart co-workers

Sometimes unbearable traffic (an undoing of the city, not really the company), periods of little or no activity, no new challenges after a while

Decent amount of overtime.

Mostly subcontracted work from bigger companies. When work gets slow for the big company expect to be laid off so their workers can have your position. Very unpredictable.
