Pros

Due to the vision of the President, what was once a small Health Assurance Trust has expanded in recent years, adding many other business' such as a PBM, Health Management and the Sales and Administrative support for the largest state health exchange in the nation. These business have created opportunities for employees to advance and expand their skills in the organization.

Cons

The only con is actually a pro. If you don't like an entrepreneurial, fast paced inventive environment you might not be a good fit. If you have new creative ideas and are willing to work hard, it is the right place for you.

Pros

Ability to work on diverse projects. You are not limited by your job title, which makes the work place a dynamic place to be. The president and leadership care about employees and encourage employees to take initiative. I've read some of the negative comments on this site and all I can say is that these must be from one of the non-performers looking to blame leadership for why they are failing. In my experience there, the president provided a positive environment to work in and encouraged employees to make a difference. All I've seen during my tenure there was that they want employees to like their job, contribute by working hard and encouraging a team environment. My reasons for leaving were due to personal needs or I would still be there. The benefits and retirement options they provide are also excellent. The physical work environment is also very good.

Cons

The growth at the company is extensive and they have had difficulty around adequate staffing for some departments. That situation has resulted in a need to work extra hours at different times of the year to meet customer needs. If you don't want to put in the energy and effort to make a difference then this company will not be a good fit for you.
