Pros
Working at PinkNews has been like no work environment I've ever experienced. All of my colleagues are lovely, very encouraging and like to celebrate each other regulary. I feel very supported by my manager, and other managers across the business that I work with. Very collaborative workplace and open to new ideas. Fun office in London and very flexible on hybrid working. Quarterly socials are a great opportunity to meet new colleagues across different teams, always super fun and a lot of work goes into making sure the team are looked after. The onboarding process was thorough and regular touch points and meetings with line manager to help support developement. it is clear that our core mission and values are important and give a greater sense of purpose to the work I am doing. Access to free mental health support that has been very useful and easy to access. Clear expectations are set when you join and checked in on throughout probation.
Cons
As a smaller company some benefits aren't on offer yet but hopeful this will improve as PinkNews continues to grow. Internal communication is important and there have been improvements here. More transparency with company wide pay brackets. Personalised career path planning for each role would be useful for progression.
