Great team culture with room for process improvement - Team Lead Picus Security Employee Review

Pros

The thing that keeps me here is genuinely the people. The team culture is collaborative and low-ego — engineers help each other without gatekeeping knowledge. You're treated as an owner of your work, not just a task executor. The company invests in its employees' growth, and management is approachable. For a cybersecurity product company in Turkey, the technical bar is high and the problems are interesting.

Cons

Like any growing startup, processes can sometimes lag behind the pace of the product. Prioritization across teams can get noisy during busy cycles. Nothing that overshadows the positives, but room to improve on the operational side."

Pros

- Dynamic product/tech with a significant roster of F500 clients - Surrounded by highly experienced/accomplished operators - Culture is team oriented and action oriented. Everybody willing to roll up sleeves - Designated by Gartner, Forrester, and others as the leader in the space - Company is very healthy from a financial and operational perspective, offering stability - Great benefits and pay. Managers look to reward hard work.

Cons

None for me - but expect to be treated like a high-performing professional focused on accountability, execution, and outcomes. This is not for everybody, but typically those that are not accustom to performing at a high-level are weeded out during the interview process.

Pros

competitive salary, growing company in growing sector

Cons

* CEO in is head name only, CTO calls the shots (sales, marketing, product) * hire and fire culture (specially if you are US-based) * off-the-charts levels of bureaucracy and micromanagement * leadership is not clear on product direction, vision, or ownership * doesn't understand western culture * most employees are strung out and working on fear * 60+ hour weeks expected once you're in * sales org runs like a frat house. Given the friendliness with enemy states of the US, Turkish ownership and management real handicap for trying to sell a security product in the USA
