Unfortunately, most of the negative reviews you are going to read here are true. I usually never write reviews unless I really want to call something out, so here we are. Picsart has an interesting product, but I have never worked in a company with such incompetent leaders. The CEO, CPO, and CTO have no vision and should be replaced as soon as possible if the company wants to have any future. There is a real problem of nepotism, with leaders placing their children, husband/wife, or friends, which feels very unethical to me. VPs and directors have a power ego problem, and there is a top-down culture, with leadership telling their team what to do rather than trying to empower people and foster innovation. This means decisions are data-informed (if at all) rather than data-driven. The company lacks innovation and is rather focused on chasing competitors (Canva/Adobe) on features without thinking about what the real problem is to solve for users. This translates to a bloated product with too many features and not doing one thing well. The company has an excellent design and UX research team, but insights produced by this team are mostly ignored. This results in a flaky strategy to seek the next viral thing, thinking users will retain once using those features once (the latest AI features are a good example of that). Finally, most EU colleagues remain isolated compared to those in Armenia (where most decisions are made), and career growth opportunities are practically non-existent, except for nepotism or people with good connections within the company.
