Pros

The setup for the page is excellent, also the benefits such as gift cards etc are a nice incentive. Weekly pay

Cons

As someone who has worked for virtually every phone sex hotline I do get the feeling that something is off about the amount of hangups I have received. At other companies, I never have less than an 8 minute hold time average because of regulars but also with the fill in calls I typically get maybe 4-5 hangups a day anywhere else. For some reason at Phonestars which has more call volume I somehow get a lower efficiency, basically impossible to keep in the green and an impossibly high amount of silent calls. The theme seems to be that whenever I get a call that is near 30 minutes or longer it is then followed by nonstop silent calls which take my hold average from being in the green at 15+ minutes to by the end of a shift below 6 minutes. My efficiency had never been green at this company yet at other companies I go whole days without a hangup occurring.

Pros

Free equipment Free training Flexible schedule Caring mentors Free gift cards Bonuses Feeling like a star

Cons

Slight learning curve. Phonestars is not like other services. You’re expected to keep customers who desire immediate gratification on the phone for longer periods. It can be difficult.

Pros

Your info is kept confidential. You don't have to handle billing or advertisements—no texting, pics, or videos. You are paid an hourly rate. This is much better than some companies that may only pay you a few pennies per minute. As an employee, taxes are deducted from your paycheck before you receive it. They offer a variety of schedules around the clock to accommodate your lifestyle. There are part-time and full-time schedules. You get paid breaks. They do have a support phone line and email if you have questions or need help. You can earn bonus points, which I believe are based on the length of each call. These points can be used to shop in their store, which offers a wide range of products. This is in addition to your regular hourly pay rate, which is paid out bi-weekly.

Cons

There is no training, no employee community chatline, or website for coworkers to check in on each other or say hello and have a good day. You cannot hang up on hard-to-deal-with callers! No taboos are off limits—anything goes... This can be particularly challenging for anyone who has experienced trauma in their past.
