Pros

Despite what I believe to be a ridiculous reason for being let go: *Fair pay as long as you are consistently accurate and can meet bonus tier (efficiency) *Typically very clear on what is CORRECT vs. incorrect as far as QA. *Flexible work schedule within certain parameters. *Management really does do their best to keep you in work. *Paid twice a month on time. *Not a difficult position if you know how to follow instructions and refer to the information painstakingly provided to you. *In general, I believe this company truly does care about their ICs.

Cons

*Communication could be better but it is my opinion there are too many irons in the fire for mid-management and upper management hasn't seemed to be interested in getting them help. *When/if management is stressed they will be quite short-tempered (which is human). *They will always say "as always, if you have any questions or concerns let us know". They only mean that if your question or concern is about account specifics. At no point should you ask a question that might cause upper management to think you're problematic. *1099 - no taxes are taken out, no benefits, no bonuses. If you don't work you don't get paid. This was never a problem for me. *If you are neurodivergent (autism spectrum/ADHD) the very things that make you excellent at the job may also lead to things that get you into trouble. Despite my personal experience with them recently, the prior 2 years were fantastic and I would recommend this company to most people who are experienced scribes or medical transcriptionists. It is one of the few places that still pays a somewhat livable amount in this field.
