The people in the trenches are some of the best people you will ever meet. They are caring, concerned, committed, and dedicated to superior results.
Cons
Sadly, over the course of my tenure, so much changed and so much declined. Salaries topped out, increases and bonuses were not always paid, benefits were cut, titles were lowered yet senior leadership still received their bonuses, raises, and car allowances. People in the trenches were constantly being expected to do more with less and when there were layoffs, those who remained were then expected to do the jobs of 2 or 3 people. Talented people left in droves and those left behind are very, very disheartened by what has happened to 'their' company that they loved so much and worked so hard for.
