Great Place to work if you're accustomed to Asian corporate culture - Sales Phihong Employee Review

Pros

Job security. As long as you do your job, you can work there as long as you want. You don't need to go above or beyond or need to be creative. (this can feel limiting to some, and a big relief to others. Depends on you.) The company does its best to take care of its employees with catered dinners daily for those working past 7:30pm and a catered breakfast every Friday. Pay is below average for the Bay Area, but there are bonuses awarded at the end of the year along with a big holiday party that gives some pretty sweet raffle gifts between $100~$500. Overall, the gross pay is still below average, but if job security is more important than moving up the corporate ladder, then this is the place for you.

Cons

Pretty much any position here is a dead-end job since management and middle management are totally locked in. Sales & Engineering is governed by the same person and he is not going anywhere anytime soon. There is no room to grow, but there is plenty of room to take on more work. There are a few people who are lifers there and some don't do good work so you'll be expected to pick up the slack and the slackers don't get reprimanded. It's very frustrating but again, plenty of the employees have been there for more than 10 years, so job security is the bonus. Management is very fixed in their ways, so don't bother trying to make any big changes. I personally felt overworked and underpaid, but I also believe that it was in part due to the major cultural difference, so I had different expectations.
