Pros
⚫Creative and experienced talent in the engineering department.
⚫Great experience working with industrial controls and high voltage equipment.
⚫The company stayed in western Maryland where jobs are needed. They easily could've moved to a different country and taken advantage of cheaper labor.
⚫Certain people within upper management have the vision and where-with-all to improve morale and promote a positive work environment.
Cons
⚫Although the company stayed in western Maryland, the harsh treatment of the employees outweighs any positives. Draconian rules and policies convey a message to the employees that they are expendable and plays on the fears of losing your job. Due to the extreme isolation from any employment opportunities or competition, the company policies have become more and more self-serving and do little to benefit any employee.
⚫Odd work hours with absolutely zero flexibility.
⚫No real concern for employee's well being. Just show up, shut up and do what you're told.
⚫Hazardous conditions regarding air quality and ventilation of fumes and particulates.
⚫Absolutely no path for training or upward mobility.
⚫Owners have the attitude that the employees are lucky to even have a job and can be quickly replaced.
⚫Zero vacation time is accrued for the first 12-15 months.
⚫Employees are forbidden to participate in any type of family health care insurance plan or Employee + Spouse plan until they have been deemed worthy by being with the company for at least two years.
