Great team of supportive staff - Programme Leader Petroc Employee Review

The team I worked in was really good and I had a good line manager. Those are about the only good things.

Many cons about this institution sadly. There are redundancies year on year; senior management have a very 'fixed' view of thinking and fail to recognise logical and reasonable points made by other staff; senior management themselves have made decisions which have lost the college money etc. When working at Petroc, many departments had at least one person on long-term sick leave which indicates there is a serious staff wellbeing problem.

Progression and staff training good

Management tend to have been promoted through the ranks because of length of service. Management ability at high level is shambolic and lacks clear ability, drive and competence. The college has crashed down in the OFSTED ratings.
