Pros

The negative reviews of Peter R. Thom And Associates (PRT) are a thing of the past. While the company name remains the same, the leadership has undergone a significant change. Under Chris, the new CEO and President, PRT has undergone a remarkable transformation into a company with a positive work environment. Chris has fostered a culture that encourages independence, critical thinking, and self-direction, allowing employees to thrive in their roles. If you're considering a position at PRT and are concerned due to the older reviews, I can confidently say that those experiences are no longer reflective of the company. The team is highly skilled and works cohesively to ensure everyone succeeds and achieves their goals.

Pros

The company offered a great opportunity to learn a wide variety of business skills, including sales, marketing, some database stuff, and offered exposure to a wide variety of types of people in their clients.

Cons

The manager had serious micromanagement issues, including demanding minute-by-minute accounting on timesheets even for salaried (exempt) employees, up to the point of noting when bathroom breaks were taken. Also, engineers were expected to spend most of their time on business development tasks including cold calls. There was absolutely no room for career advancement, since the company had remained at its current size for multiple decades and showed no signs of growing, and compensation was below average.
