Pros

- Great sales school with lots of trainings, coachings, enablement team. Doesnt matter if you are new to sales or experienced, you get great development support - Culture has been great 5 years ago and Personio managed to keep it up although hyper growth which I am very impressed of. Doesn't matter which level you are working at, everyone can still make an impact and the vibe "building sth. big together" is still existing. - Very flat hierarchy, management is open for feedback and willing to support if needed - Great development path and great responsibility for sales leaders - Lots of external hiring for management has happened recently which will boost Personios growth Personio is not only selling an HR software itself but also is trying to role model how a modern company can be run in terms of culture, people focus, leadership, business decisions even though Personio is still learning so mistakes are still made, which is ok and good for growth. I would 100% recommend Personio as a great employer if one is motivated to grow, demonstrating ownership , willing to walk extra miles, showing endurance and open for constant change.

Cons

- Decision processes get longer (still agile, but not as fast as in the past which is normal when growing) - Some processes are not set up well for the size of the company and thus lead sometimes to chaos and frustration (especially if no changes afterwards) - changes are sometimes implemented to fast and not thought through sustainable

Pros

Smart collaborative colleagues at the lower IC levels.

Cons

Personio is a dying company. The over-complexity of the company's technical systems is comical. Every attempt to simplify seems to lead to more complexity as things get half migrated and left to rot. Engineering leadership seems clueless and unable to present a clear plan-of-action to get things on track. Principal engineers force engineering time to be spent on silly projects that don't move the needle long-term. There is an overall aversion to taking the time to learn deeply about systems being used. Personio feels like a combination of all of the negatives of both a startup and a mature tech company, with none of the positives. The tech is half assed and duct taped together, but still somehow everything moves at a glacial pace. There is a mass shared delusion at the company that an IPO is in reach. No investor is going to buy this company's junk shares on the open market.
