Pros

Great engineering and sales teams. Collaboration is present at all levels of the organization. It was significantly growing revenue earlier this year.

Cons

Persio is building (and continues to build) a software product that nobody wants, unfortunately. As a startup in its growth phase, it loses money, but they abandoned business development of their main cash cow, so growth has stalled significantly. New CEO bet the farm on this new product, but so far the guidance as to new sales are bleak and the outlook is grim, from a sales perspective. Management and general state of the company went from full on excitement, to a bad outlook in a matter of months. It went from an exciting, established growth company, to pretty much starting a completely new company from the ground up, which is an excessive risk to take.

Pros

Persio is truly a unique place to work. Employees all like each other here, everyone wants each other to succeed, and there is a great deal of support from the top of the organization on down. The company has, and continues to, develop a product that helps address some major challenges facing the marketing and advertising industry. Collaboration is encouraged - Engineering and Product work hand in hand with Sales, who also lean on Customer Success for input and feedback. As an evolving company that is still relatively small, employees understand that hard work is needed in order to achieve ultimate success - but everyone enjoys the process and celebrates each other's victories along the journey. Friendly, genuine, smart people are found across all departments. The vision of the company, and traction in the marketplace that Persio is making is really exciting.

Cons

The challenges that the company has set out to help marketers solve for are very complex. Therefore, there are naturally some bumps along the way as the company is constantly building, updating, and fine tuning the product and overarching value proposition. This is probably not the right place for someone who wants to step into a "fully baked" organization, with a completely defined product. Sometimes you have to exercise a bit of patience - because even though everyone wants to achieve success, it's a process that will not happen over night.

Pros

The company has an unusual arrangement; a startup culture with paying clients and good revenues. It can be chaos at times, but by and large management has their head on right when it comes to trade-offs between "best practices" and "get it to market". Since most of the developers have been working here for a few years now and have families, there isn't an expectation of crazy hours. Few limitations on what tools to use; if you feel it's best for the job, and it does the job, you can use it. This has its downsides but has worked out so far. Almost all development is brand new. The positive feedback regarding what has been done so far is encouraging, and the problem that's being solved is both valuable and difficult. As a team, the overall vibe is cooperative and friendly, not competitive.

Cons

There is less time dedicated to fixing the more hacky parts of the codebase. Agile methodology is used but hasn't yet fit in well with how things are getting done.
