Cons
- since 2010, there is a movement at PerkinElmer to centralize all global jobs, but also all decision making processes in the US. People out there outside of the HQ, or in the region, have just nothing to say. Creating a frustrating environments where the monkeys are not allowed to take initiatives without secret HQ blessing - it is a US only driven company. Any foreigners not based in the US would have limited chance of leadership, or authority. This creates a huge gap between Waltham and the rest of the company, and HQ leaders do not feel aware of this - expect to be the next one on the restructuring list. A quarterly black box porcess, resulting in regular disproportionate decisions - there is no trust in the general management, and no clear communicatoin on what is going on below HQ level
