Pros

A place to Gain experience, but that's about it. A stepping stone to a better job. A first step in a career.

Cons

Self serving management. No team work at the manager, assistant manager, service writer level. Work is assigned to friends of theirs or higher ranking techs to keep them earning while others who may be as qualified are overlooked and starved of work. The pay is terrible. One is led to believe the pay will be higher than is attainable because of this way of favoring some while ostrisizing others. The pay is booked hour, and the way work is assigned booking 40 hours is impossible. 20 hours is the norm for the most part, and that means the thech will earn half of his wage. So if one is hired at $20 per hour, and 20 hours are booked but clock in 40 then $10 per hour is paid on the check. This is also accomplished by managers, service writers that give away the techs labor to make a sale. For example, a brake inspection that pays .2 of an hour may also have windshield wipers installed for free, in the end a tech may spend a half hour or more working but getting paid for 12 minutes. Sometimes the "courtesy" or free work out weighs the paid work..

Pros

Good pay and benefits. Consistent hours. Account is manageable ADP login has good options.

Cons

Toxic environment with toxic management, extremely high stress, unqualified technicians messing up customers vehicles. Difficult to use your PTO or take time off. Can be extremely busy at times multiple shifts without a lunch break having to work past closing time. Also working shifts at time by yourself from open to close with no help.
