Pros

There are some great people here that truly make an impact. Pay is decent and benefits are ok, nothing spectacular but acceptable.

Cons

There are some seriously evil people here, and they managed to weasel themselves into senior leadership roles. There are some serious, undiagnosed personality disorders at play (referred to as Cluster B in psychology) and unless you know what to look out for, you'll fall into believing it's you that is wrong. Mentally healthy individuals don't behave this way, but since they have been put in charge by the founders, you won't stand a chance unless you are one of them. You need to document any problematic behavior but don't report it to HR or others that have any position of authority over people matters (or are friends of them), lest you will find yourself quickly let go. The business model is suspect at best, it's a one-time purchase for most customers but they try to force a licensing model that most customer don't want.

Pros

The teams here allow you to have a healthy work/life balance. Managers are understanding of personal time as well as helping fill in gaps if it is needed. There is always a team to back you up.

Cons

If you are not good with change then not a great position. There is constant change in making processes more efficient so there is a constant learning curve. ( could be good or bad depending on how you feel about change)

Pros

I'm coming up on my third year with PDL. I've had a great experience here. One of my favorite things is that we can all be ourselves and there is no judgement or overly corporate attitude while still being professional and productive. In my opinion this comes from a highly competent leadership team that truly leads from the front, by example and encourages us all to embrace our quirks. I also appreciate their willingness to move quickly, adapt, and try new things.

Cons

I haven't come across anything specific worth mentioning here. Every organization has challenges but the pros I listed above help us navigate these with as few migraines as possible.
