Pros

Since they don't pay well they'll take less experience than the role requires

Cons

Small company so experience varies widely based on your manager. If you're under an insecure one, which most are because senior management can be abusive to staff, it's not an enjoyable or productive environment. Rules are many and colleagues can be catty. Mostly behind your back if you're lucky. All of this is tolerated by senior management. Unproductive, incompetent people are left in place. I would recommend as a jump start if you're fresh out of school only.

As we strive to be a world-class organization, Penray appreciates suggestions and comments from current and former employees. Penray is a hard-working company as we are in absolute growth mode and conducted a lot of hiring in 2013-14. We now have many new members of the upper management team that were hired in 2013 such as our VP, Operations, Marketing Director and our Sr. VP, Sales. These new members of management are very aware that we need to support our fellow team members and our new initiative of One Company, One Team! As for our equipment, yes, Penray has been around since 1950 so we do have some older equipment. However, Penray has invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in 2014 to improve and replace old machinery. We have a brand new tank farm at our Wheeling, IL facility that is more efficient and safe. We have also invested in other machinery that will help to automate the current packaging area.
