Pros

-Great place for new nurse's with the graduate nurse residency program. I went through it and felt supported when I was new -Benefits are decent - on par with other hospitals in the area. -Strong nurse's union who will go to bat for you and your concerns -Opportunities for advancing your career and growing are generally plentiful -Lots of educational opportunities for nurses.

Cons

-Pay: not bad but not great either. You can definitely make more at other hospitals -Depending on unit - unit culture/leadership.

Pros

Mission-focused Some patients and employees are nice Good benefits

Cons

Crowded and Busy. In the cancer institute the lines for check-in went out the door and it seems like everyone forgets their manners in that place. Very little pay for dealing with so many angry patients
