Pros
You might luck out and get one of the few decent managers that treats you like a person and not a number.
Cons
Typical company focused on quantity and not quality. Their actions to not match their words/values. They push out unfinished buggy content, no quality checking, and their managers (who are all hired as friends/previous co-workers or family/spouses of upper management) are inept and unqualified and do not care to fix their internal and external communication, content, and process issues. Their managers all need compassionate and competent leadership training, but CareerStep doesn't offer it, because they do not offer professional growth to their internal employees. Want fair pay? Don't look for that here. Like most companies these days they will report record profits and create new positions (for their friends), but justify every reason under the son to not offer livable (let alone thriveable) income to lower level/average employees. They pressure their sales reps (who they call Career Advisors in order to lure new customers into thinking they aren't sales reps and are instead some sort of life coach) like most companies to just sell, whether or not someone is a good fit to online learning, whether or not the product is good. Pressure them to give up their personal life time in order to capture commissions to make their wages livable. Other departments are no better and have the other issues listed above.
