Pros
Great work life balance. Made many professional connections. Most members you serve are good people. I actually liked the job.
Cons
Cliques. Backstabbing and interpersonal drama among branch employees. The punitive top-down culture makes the upper management in Central Services more of a weapon you can use against employees you dislike rather than a guide/managers (MANY stories were heard about this and it's why I left, because I was next). Everybody gets scared when one of them walks in. Branch managers are treated like garbage - even worse than they treat other frontline advisors/MSRs. They started outright threatening our jobs, some of us who were there for years. One mistake, or one complaint from the wrong member, no matter how false (or insane) it is and you're out when they want you gone. So don't DARE question a decision they've made or ask for clarification too much. Karen Burr is the one you will see the next day escorting you out. Saw it too many times and heard even worse stories from other branches. Everybody in the branches fears ___ and ___and it's making people scared to actually learn or fix the problems in this company.
