Pros

Being able to teach myself everything because I had to without any help.

Cons

NSS is highly overrated. It is NOT a good job. They hire almost anyone now off the street. Everyone in inside and outside sales is leaving recently because of this: Paylocity itself is an overhyped company.. The culture is absolutely not welcoming or professional, and definitely harassing at times. I’ve been bullied and harassed many times. The work should also be taken seriously as I had seen it is not like letting a pig roam around the office as one example. The product for payroll is not a good one at all. In training you will learn we are the best technologically. It is a lie. As a result they have to target companies who are gullible enough to make a blind purchasing decision without consulting proper resources. The company does not know how to differentiate itself so they make you have to do that for them. All in all if you want to eventually have your time wasted at a company as they turn almost everyone over, be considered a telemarketer by being forced to read a script with almost no autonomy, not have any room for advancement and make next to nothing in commission for selling a payroll system that is just completely overhyped, you have found your company in Paylocity.

Paylocity Response

Hello and thank you for providing your feedback. I am disappointed to hear of your experience at Paylocity. All of our National Sales Support Representatives go through an extensive training program to ensure they are provided the tools, resources and procedures for their role. Paylocity also provides learning courses through our LMS to provide opportunities for further education around our product, technology, and courses around specific skills sets applicable for each role. We strive to provide only a professional, safe and inviting work environment. Our employees come first, and providing them opportunities for growth is extremely important to us. We’ve developed rotational programs, mentorship programs and career pathing for our employees, but I am sorry to hear you were unable to utilize any of these great resources. We know that the role of an NSS rep can be fast paced, and at times stressful, but we make a conscious effort to create an upbeat, warm and competitive atmosphere to combat this. We appreciate you candid feedback and will continue to find ways to improve our product, process, and atmosphere. If you would like to discuss further, please reach out to me directly at KGrimaldi@paylocity.com

Pros

Great benefits; 90% of the ppl that worked there were the best and really did great work.

Cons

Made employees choose between having MLK Day off or Juneteenth- both which are federally recognized holidays. Excuse was that our customers are open on those days so we need to be open. So as a company, we had to pick which would be a paid holiday and everyone chose Juneteenth because it was in the summer. I think we got a floating holiday to use for any other holiday we wanted off that wasn’t recognized by the company. As you can imagine, this racism was prevalent in management/leadership. My team was the most diverse team and we all got restructured/laid off. There’s a lot of ego and control issues in this company, especially in Talent Acquisition.
