Pros

- Great company culture of helping each other from sales processes to personal life events (Example; we just experienced a hurricane in the Florida market and associates company wide were reaching out to offer assistance if needed) - Service support to clients is excellent. It feels good to sell a product where service will be there to support the client following the sale. - Incredible resources for sales to go to market. Collateral, marketing materials, marketing support, corporate initiatives, etc. It is all there to help ensure you are successful in the field - Support for our partners. In partnering with brokers, CPAs, and banks we have additional support to help facilitate relationships and care for those clients that are referred to Paycor. - Giving back! One of the main reasons I came to Paycor is the company wide initiatives to give back to the local communities that we reside in. Not only that, our CEO is extremely passionate about giving back as well. I feel good about working for a company that is focused on the success of its associates, but also the communities in which we live.

Cons

There can be a lot of material to digest and sort through from a sales perspective, but for me, that is actually a positive. I would rather have too much material and support for my position than not enough. If you aren't able to focus on the urgent matters at hand and identify what is worth your time to focus on, then perhaps sales isn't the right position for you to begin with.

Thanks for providing a balanced view of your Paycor experience. Community Partners is one of the several grassroots initiatives at Paycor that highlight Associate interests and passions. Associates have coordinated over 125 events YTD and several more are planned this Fall, including another Sales PayItForward day.

Pros

Paycheck hits on time every two weeks.

Cons

I wanted to like working at Paycor. The product has potential and the pitch during the interview process sounded promising. But the reality of day-to-day life here is a far cry from what's advertised. Micromanagement is rampant. Leadership tracks every minute of your day — from login times to bathroom breaks — yet somehow trusts no one to make even the smallest decision independently. You're treated like a number, not a professional. There's zero autonomy, and any attempt to take initiative is quickly shut down. The leadership team is deeply out of touch. Many managers got their roles through tenure, not merit, and it shows. They struggle to answer basic questions about the industry, lean on buzzwords in meetings, and consistently make decisions that anyone with relevant experience would know to avoid. When things go wrong, blame rolls downhill fast. The culture is toxic and cliquey. If you're not in the right social circle, advancement is nearly impossible. Favoritism is blatant, feedback is rarely constructive, and the "open door policy" is a joke — speak up and you'll find yourself quietly pushed out. The work environment doesn't help either. High turnover means institutional knowledge constantly walks out the door. Morale is low, burnout is high, and HR seems more interested in protecting the company than the employees.
