Pros
Good benefits. Expensive; but good... and [some] good hard-working people who are trying to make it a great environment despite how horrible the pay and work load is.
Cons
Horrible pay for the amount of work demanded. Absolutely NO overtime! Like seriously, don't even think about it! If things get too busy, work faster. The supervisory team is nice up front but if you don't appease them, hell is unleashed. No transparency; the supervisors don't want employees talking about how much they earn, they don't give fair breaks so you can't talk about that either, and they form clicks around their favorite employees. I know 'cause I was a favorite... and my special treatment was disgusting. Paychex does NOT care about their clients one bit. My job was to find ways to charge the hell outta clients for common mistakes or things gone overlooked. Amended returns that take 5 minutes for us to generate? Oh yeah, Cha-Ching!! $$$! "Sorry Mr. Client, that project will take about two weeks to complete..." Paychex says it specializes in clients having "dedicated payroll specialist specifically assigned to their account;" That's BS, we moved clients around more than we changed our underwear! Ask any Paychex client! To keep the morale up in the office they load the office with candy and random sweets. They say they promote healthy living through their "step counting challenge" but everyone just lies about their steps to get the $30 amazon gift card every three months. Paychex prides itself in the many career opportunities within the company, but what they don't say is that ALL the positions within the company pay substantially less than the same position elsewhere. SMH.. This company is so deceitful I cant even begin to scratch the surface!
