The only pro is that you will gain experience in the medical industry. Pathology is a great stepping stone to build a solid foundation for a successful career elsewhere. If you are hired focus on Oncology services because that's where your value will come in the future when you find a new role. The staff working in the lab and doing all the heavy lifting are great people, you will possibly make a life long friend. If you are unemployed and desperately need an income it's a paycheck worth taking until you find something great.

Where do I start?? The company is owned and controlled by a financial group whose only focus is on REVENUE. They hired a CEO as their puppet, and he brought in a team from a toxicology lab to run a pathology lab. The toxicology lab almost went bankrupt so that gives you an idea of a long-term career. The VP of sales Steve is the Henchman who doesn't understand or know a single step or process of the services performed, or how sensitive pathology really is. The lab diagnoses people with a terminal illness and yet the majority of the salespeople can't tell you where a Gi biopsy comes from. That's the bulk of their business and they have sabotaged the majority of relationships with most of the hospitals, surgical centers and etc due to misdiagnosis of patients. They caused all kinds of problems to offices and it's a small industry so word of mouth travels fast and good luck getting any clients to use Pathline. Steve will provide you with absolutely minimal training, no guidance, no support, no quota, and yet expects you to generate revenue. If you kiss his rear end really well he will let you slide under the radar without doing any work so if you're that type this is a dream job for you, and if you value integrity, and have self-respect don't bother working here. Any client relationship you bring or build during your time at Pathline will go down the drain because the billing department balance bills patients, bills patients even after insurance covered some parts of it. They really don't have any insurance contracts, so your doctor relationships will soon crumble because patient bill complaints will barry you in paperwork. Be prepared to be on call 24/7 for pick-ups, supplies, results, billing, and on top of that, you will be asked to do data entry on a weekly basis because the lab can't staff employees to do it. They will tell you 4.5% commission paid monthly on all revenue collected, well that's more like 0.5% because they don't get reimbursement for the majority of the work, and they finagle with your numbers so somehow you never get paid for what you're owed.
