Pros
Benefits were decent, I really liked the people I worked with.
Cons
*Absentee CEO--- CEO only appears in the office a couple times a month, if that.
*Absentee Facilities Manager---building is old and is neglected. Small things such as lightbulbs go unchanged and major problems like plumbing and insect infestation in bathrooms don't get attention. Automobiles are constantly having issues.
*Burnt out staff in all departments from dispatch to ambulance crews due to management accepting more and more contracts that they don't have the resources to manage.
*Anti-minority sentiment---anti black, gay, semitic, female remarks are commonplace and tolerated.
*Extreme favoritism and nepotism are common in all departments.
*Immature management, scapegoating, "passing the buck" and verbal abuse are also common in all departments.
*Jobs and shifts are not distributed according to seniority or merit, but are many times given to relatives or friends with little to no experience in the position, while employees with seniority and years of experience are passed over for promotion over and over. African Americans, GLBT employees, and Female employees are also passed over for promotions on a regular basis.
*Terrible training---no textbooks nor practice time. Trainer was constantly out of the office on personal errands and business while trainees sat neglected several times a day. Trainers also sat on their personal cell phone on social media while trainees were supposed to be watched and supervised.
