Supportive Learning Environment but Lacks Inclusive Opportunities for Interns - Management Trainee Paramount Property Group Employee Review

Pros

• Supportive environment where employees are willing to teach and give learning opportunities. • Most colleagues are helpful and approachable, fostering a positive working atmosphere. • Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in tasks assigned by supervisors.

Cons

• Interns are often excluded from key activities like CSR events, limiting their exposure and overall experience with external parties. Interns are sometimes treated as mere “trainees,” resulting in fewer developmental opportunities. • Certain last-minute tasks initiated by higher management cause difficulties, especially when they involve third parties. This often places unnecessary pressure on interns, damaging their reputation despite their inexperience. • Some colleagues are less friendly towards interns, creating an unwelcoming environment. If interns build relationships with certain colleagues, others may distance themselves from them, leading to feelings of isolation.

Pros

On the company level of things, the culture is pretty good. Very little to no toxic environment. Mid level and below are all very helpful, friendly, and open people. People who are here to get things done and not here to play politics or blame game.

Cons

I can't say for the market rate of pay for other positions but most of us are severely underpaid for the workload expected of us. They may be generous with their bonus but you are in for a ride if you're expecting to upkeep your life with a bonus that may or may not come at the company's discretion. Managers and above (not all) are very disconnected with their teams. I do not blame most of them as the headcount available for the expectations from the higher mangement is very big. Its like you're expecting 1 car to tow 5 full container trucks. Its only natural that responsibilities are passed on down the chain. However, there's not enough support, which causes dissatisfaction, from the mid level and below.
