Pros
They used to have a high base comp (rivaling FAANG companies in Silicon Valley, despite fully remote; but after 15% salary cuts in Dec 2022 this is just mediocre compared to a Silicon Valley salaries). They also had have very interesting tech problems to solve. Fully remote across all timezones. No geographic adjustment of salary. (Silicon Valley salaries in e.g. Western Europe). Generous BYOD policy. Transparent mono repo engineering wise, so you can change infra/code all at the same time, and have no hurdles in diving deeper into the stack. well staffed QA dept.
Cons
Inexperienced upper management; they hired some middle management in 2021/22 but as they did not perform as yes-men, they all got fired. The upper Management still has no empathy to the ICs delivering product at super fast paced speed. They are trying to have some new middle management, but those are yes-men. Supposedly they are trying to fix it, but they have been saying that for 24 months. Unlimited PTO policy is not unlimited (but rather low on expected PTO). Under-leveling of employees (i.e. a software engineer needs to perform as a senior software engineer to meet expectations). Funny release cycle management (no CI/CD, but 2 week release cycle).
