Pros
1.) Flexible Hours. I was able to come in any time as long as the eight hours was complete. 2.) Pay was high, but it was fought for intensely. 3.) Great benefits as long as they are used.
Cons
1.) Unreliable Management: The management team here has no idea what is going on at any point in time. It is a ranch of chickens with no heads. Constant schedule changes, unreliable answers, and consistent micromanagement. 2.) Targeted discipline: In a department where you are the only metrologist completing tasks, you get no praise from management. If you mess up however, it is instant discipline via wordage such as: Late, incomplete mess, work harder, etc. 3.) A GMP environment with no training is a recipe for failure. Constant mistakes are created throughout the building due to the "Read & Understand Training", where once you read the SOP, you are liable for any and all things you touch regarding the SOP. 4.) Non-existent Person-to-Person Training: There is none. 0. You will learn everything you need to based on what the SOP states. If the SOP doesnt state it, you are relying on yourself to figure out it as no one knows anything in the Metrology Department. 5.) Non-Existent Promotions: When it comes to anything above a Metrology Technician 1, you will absolutely work your butt off to get it. There is almost no growth path at Padagis in terms of Metrology other than experience. I was told I would need 3-4 more years ON TOP OF the six year experience I already had to be promoted to a Metrology Technician 2.
