Pros

Friendly group of recent college graduates to loathe with over lunch hour.

Cons

ProspeX... or 'PRSPX' (sound it out. I guess) is a great opportunity to learn. During your potential stay at PRSPX, you will learn exactly where you don't want to work and what kind of people you don't want to work for. As a member of the Inside Sales Team, you will be required to make AT LEAST 180 cold calls on the daily, while someone is constantly hovering over your shoulder. You will be living a real life version of the movie "Office Space". The company is managed by CEO Lance Tyson, who will try his darndest to relate to you on a personal level and be your bud. Do not let this fool you, folks. Be prepared to have your personal space invaded, be touched, embarrassed in front of your co-workers, and have any and all food taken off your desk space whenever he is in the office. Job is stressful with not much reward for any hard work or effort you put in. Management will implement contests and games to try and make the work environment more "fun" and CEO will give less-than-inspiring speeches that will make you immediately wish you were back at your desk working. Employees are there because they have to be there in order to earn a paycheck, which will barely suffice to make ends meet as a recent college graduate. Any opportunities for growth within the company are sugar-coated, only earning you a shiny new title or slim chance to work in the professional sports industry (AKA selling season ticket packages). These "opportunities" will only come to those who have a close family tie with the owner or have endured this painful position for at least over a year. Though there are endless, and I mean endless, negative aspects in working for this company, you WILL get to hit a gong if you schedule a sales appointment, dress up in a cheeky costume on Halloween and sit at a desk cold calling people, AND tell your parents about the "ProspeX Hustle Award" that you've earned for all your hard work during the week. This award is a spray painted headset. Make sure to mention the owner in your acceptance speech. If you'd like to be not only miserable while at work, but also outside of work in your home life, PRSPX is the right place for you. In a nutshell, the position is unfulfilling and overly stressful for what it is. See through the b/s and keep your sanity and happiness. You will easily find a better starter job.

2 years ago we hired an employee whom was fired from her first position out of school and struggled finding employment. She started working for us and did not come out of the gate very strong. However, she worked hard and took on more and more responsibility. Her attitude became stronger and stronger. She won an early version of our "hustle award" and was recognized for going above and beyond. This small token of recognition gave her the start of positive momentum in her own words. Over the past two years she designed her life and won her dream job. "We have in our power to increase the sum total of the worlds happiness, how? Give a few kind words to someone who is discouraged. We may forget the words we say today, but the recipient may cherish them for a life time.” - Dale Carnegie Thank you for reminding me how important that spray painted headset meant to one person. All the Best, LT

Pros

If you come with the right attitude you will reap the benefits. There is room for advancement and constant support and training. Everyone here (coworkers and management) really cares about your personal and professional success. Management will push you to be the best you can be. They constantly are bringing on new clients and you will be exposed to sales in many different industries. If you're ready to work hard and want to be successful this is the place for you. Also a lot of fun! We usually have a group outing a few Friday's in the year and the team spends time together outside of work.

Cons

Getting in early or staying late after work allows you to get ahead. You only get 5 days of PTO in your first year.

Pros

ProspeX is a young thriving organization with lots of opportunity for advancement. The majority of the organization is in their 20s, fresh out of college. It's a very fun culture with a work hard play hard mentality. ProspeX is a great company to work for straight out of college because they teach you how to be successful in the business world and have a vested interest in your personal growth. ProspeX provides us with the opportunity to attend valuable Dale Carnegie Courses, and the management regularly conducts formal and informal training to fine tune our skills. Training is far beyond the first week on the job. It is continuous. Everyone's opinions are valued, and we are encouraged to come to the table with new ideas. Senior management is always looking for new ways to innovate. It doesn't matter how long or short you've been here, your voice is heard if you speak up. Perks include contests with prizes that vary from Visa Gift Cards, Trips, TVs, and iPads. The management team is always doing something new to drive competition. The CEO is heavily involved in Pro-Sports training so free tickets are often available upon request. All in all, ProspeX is a great place to develop the fundamental business skills required for a successful career.

Cons

Sales isn't for everyone, but if you are a competitive person with a "get it done" mindset you will get the most out of working here.
