Cons

Undue preferential treatment to people of a particular gender. Promotions are based on how much you can “butter” the upper management and not on your skill and talent. The company stopped paying many employees salaries from Dec 2024. For H1B employees that is a violation of Immigration act. This can lead to serious issues with the management. Also the environment of the company is very toxic with people with visa are considered slaves.

It is a small research-driven environment where people can have a real impact, contribute beyond a narrow role, and learn across different areas. For those who enjoy solving difficult problems and building something from the ground up, the work can be very rewarding. Compensation is competitive for a small company, and the benefits are good.

Cons

Funding limitations have created periods of uncertainty and very difficult situations for employees, including financial hardship when financial commitments to employees could not always be met on schedule. Limited resources can make execution challenging and require flexibility, patience, and adaptability. Some leadership decisions during difficult periods were unpopular, and greater transparency and communication would have helped employees better navigate those challenges.
