Pros

PDR Corp. offers some great benefits; 401K after 6 months of employment, paid insurance, decent salary, company cell phone, free parking, happy hours every week, enjoyable activities outside of work, etc.

Cons

Cons of benefits: The dental insurance given covers little to none of your visits; insurance has a high deductible that is hard to reach, and therefore have to pay a lot of bills out of pocket Cons of structure: Hard to get noticed, even if you are doing great work, because no one will be your advocate. The only way to advance is to have a principal put you up for promotion, and a lot of times you work on projects with little to no contact with the principal in charge. Therefore, if you don't go out of your way to talk to the principals, you will not get promoted, no matter how hard you work. They say your salary will be reviewed once a year, but they won't even give you a cost of living raise each year. Many people who had been employed there for 2-3 years had never received a raise. Employees were told 2 months ago that they were not planning to lay off any employees. Then, this past week, they decided to lay 25 people off with no prior notice. Word on the street is that they knew about layoffs for months.

Pros

Pros would be that your coworkers can be fun and there are decent benefits for how small the firm is.

Cons

Cons are the leadership. Some may be good at being architects or designers, but the leadership team as a whole and individually do not know how to run a business. It would make sense if each had their own business know-how to bring to the firm but none of them do. There is a reason there are constant layoffs and they can't seem to retain talent.
