      Pros

      Wonderful campus, flexible work environment.

      Cons

      PARC used to be an incredible place, but it lost its spirit. People who work there seem to think of it as academia without teaching requirements. But you are not given the freedom of academia -- nor the guidance of a company with a product. It is neither here nor there.

      Pros

      Great opportunity to meet other researchers and learn about industry methods. Limited perks, industry, academic and government contracts as part of work portfolio.

      Cons

      Low compensation, unpredictable hours. Can feel disconnected from the central workforce and isolated at times. Once per year Christmas potluck .
