Pros
Working at Owner has genuinely been one of the highlights of my career. The people here are the real deal: sharp, collaborative, and the kind of colleagues who make you want to show up and do your best work every day. There's a culture of generosity with knowledge and a real sense that everyone is pulling in the same direction. The company culture is fast paced and ambitious without feeling cutthroat, and there's a genuine belief that the work we're doing matters. What keeps me most engaged is the sheer variety of problems on the table at any given time. No two days look the same, and you're constantly challenged to think creatively and grow.
Cons
The flip side of what makes Owner exciting is that the pace and ambiguity can be a lot to navigate, especially early on. Things move fast, priorities can shift, and there's no shortage of work on your plate at any given time. So if you need a lot of structure or hand holding, it can take a while to find your footing. The learning curve is real, and you have to be proactive about setting your own boundaries to avoid burnout. None of it is a dealbreaker, but it's worth going in with eyes open.
