Pros
Nothing at all
Cons
- In July 2014 almost 100 employees were fired in a single day without any reason or justification. In the same quarter (end of June 2014) company generated highest revenue and that quarter was termed as "Best quarter ever in company history" and after few days company fired 100 employees. Strange thing is they again start to hire new people after few weeks of firing old ones and again at the end of year they start firing employees in the name of down-sizing. Ovex management is totally incapable of running any company. - Apart from salary there are no extra allowances. No overtime, no leave encashment, no cell phone allowance etc - Retention bonus policy is a big joke. Amount that is given as retention bonus has no relationship with your salary, imagine if you are getting 70K-80K per month salary and after serving one year (sometimes even after 18 months) you will get retention bonus of 25K and after serving two years you will get retention bonus of 35K. Big joke! - Annual increments are based solely on how much good relationship you have with top management. If you have good relationship, you will easily get 20K-30K raise every year irrelevant of your performance and if you don't have any relationship with top management, you will never get more than 5K-6K increment despite how much efforts you made in the whole year. -There is no opportunity for learning new technologies because everything is happening in US and carried out by US engineers, you have to just assist US engineers in sales related tasks such as deal registration, BOM creation and placing order for equipment etc. For technical geeks there is no career growth rather you will get stuck in stagnant environment - Floor environment is highly political, every manager is trying to have more and more teams under him - No training and development culture. I have never seen HR department busy in arranging training for employees
