Pros
- Collaboration is key at Outsmart. It's a small team that works very closely together, supported by a network of 1000s of scientists and engineers. - There's a lot of impact in the work we do, informing strategic R&D decisions (in emerging technology) for large corporations and institutions. The research spans all areas of deep tech, making for varied and interesting projects. - Crowdsourcing as a concept is still relatively new, and so there's a lot of space to innovate. Outsmart has a culture of data-driven continuous improvement, and I have loved designing, building and implementing various tools, features and processes to support all aspects of company growth. - As it's a small company, everyone's work counts and is valued. Also, you're given opportunities that you otherwise wouldn't have access to over a wide range of aspects of a business, from sales to marketing to community management and leading projects - no day is the same! - Outsmart Insight really values the team. Everyone works hard, but there's a good work-life balance and we're all very well supported through weekly 1:1s, ongoing feedback/training and regular team socials. The people make it!
Cons
- As with any startup, there can be busy patches but these can often be predicted in advance
