Pros

Fantastic team, fantastic company. Outset is a genuinely great place to work at - full of smart, kind, respectful people who are working hard to win, and at a company that understands that winning long term includes building a team and environment where everyone wants to be at long term. People are professional yet sociable and friendly. While everyone is working hard to win, it is not a sweatshop or somewhere where badges are being monitored for hourly attendance every day. If you like challenging problems, work hard, get the job done, take initiative, want support in your own professional growth, and work well with others, Outset is a good fit for you.

Cons

You should be someone who likes working with and around other people - min 4 days a week in person. The beautiful office, free lunch (and dinner if you decide to work in the evening), nice team (did I mention the board game meetups every other Thursday afternoon?), good compensation, and rapidly growing business more than make up for it though.

Pros

Working at Outset has a ton of pros, but the biggest one for me is the people. Every team, and especially the co-founders, are genuinely some of the best people I’ve worked with. There’s a real culture of collaboration here. No matter who I reach out to, the response is almost always, “How can I help?” or “What do you need from me to make this happen?” That mindset matters a lot in my role because being successful requires support and partnership across multiple teams. At Outset, people consistently step up, contribute their time, and jump in wherever needed. It makes a huge difference and creates an environment where you genuinely feel supported. I also love the office and the neighborhood we’re in. The space itself is beautiful, and the People team does an incredible job fostering culture internally. Recently, they hosted an office party for employees, friends, and family, and it was honestly one of the best internal happy hours I’ve been to in years. Everyone genuinely wanted to spend time together, and our Head of Security DJ’d in the kitchen, which honestly sums up the vibe perfectly: great people, great energy, and a culture that feels authentic. From a role perspective, I really value autonomy, and my manager gives me exactly that, which means everything to me. It’s only been about seven weeks, and I’ve already helped support and evolve 10–12 events. It’s definitely fast-paced, with a ton happening at all times, but in the best possible way.

Cons

I can’t think of any so far
