Pros

Cool idea - great location but very poorly implemented. Sadly wont work commercially.

Cons

Founder is way too involved in the business - he has no idea how to run media or creative business. The CEO just wants to be everyones friend and has hired his husband to work in the business to raise both their profiles. Creative side just doesnt work well. Everything is run by the finance team as there is no money to do anything. Offices all over the place and the level of micro-management from insecure "Exec" is the worst i have every experienced. No benefits, especially for expecting / new mothers. Sick pay is dismal. Atmosphere is toxic. I am leaving as soon as i have a new role.

Pros

Good money, great people working in team.

Cons

Business directors would not listen to people even though they hired a great team. They burned through a lot of good people. They would also cherry pick friends to be in high positions that were not suitable.

Pros

Interesting product that turns people’s heads in the media industry and you can see people interact with your work which is cool. It’s also very unique and fun as a product.

Cons

Where do I start? Avoid avoid avoid 1) The most out of touch exec and senior team. None of them have a clue what they’re doing or really understand the media industry. They put all the pressure on the everyday staff but don’t actually look after those people at all. Most be people are overworked and underpaid while they senior team sit back and reap the rewards. 2) Company benefits are non-existent and nothing like the industry norm. 3)Annual leave is below the industry standard and maternity/paternity are stuck in the 80’s. Avoid if you have children. 4) Terrible work life balance with no opportunity to work from home regularly. 5) Start up culture in which no-one knows what they’re doing so all the pressure filters down. 6) No opportunity for career progression with no pay-rises given out as standard in other businesses. 7) The senior team waste money on hiring their partners or friends and freelancers but don’t pay or treat their permanent employees well. 8) Won’t invest in the business - offices are terrible and culture is worse. 9) No clear strategy for the future as the owner is like a dictator.
